Up to 128 IP cameras can be connected to the DS-96128NI-M16. Thanks to its high incoming bandwidth of 400 Mbps, the recorder can simultaneously process and store large numbers of high-quality camera streams.
The NVR supports recording resolutions up to 32 megapixels and offers powerful decoding capabilities for modern high-resolution security cameras.
8K or dual 4K video output
The recorder features two HDMI outputs and two VGA outputs that can display various video sources. Through the first HDMI output, the recorder supports a resolution of up to 8K. Additionally, a configuration with two separate 4K outputs is possible.
This makes it possible to clearly distribute large numbers of camera feeds across multiple professional monitors.
Space for up to 16 hard drives
The Hikvision DS-96128NI-M16 features 16 hot-swappable SATA ports. Each port supports a hard drive with a capacity of up to 16 TB. This allows for a total internal gross storage capacity of up to 256 TB.
In addition, an eSATA port is available for connecting additional external storage.
Hard drives are not included as standard, unless explicitly stated for the selected model.
Comprehensive RAID Protection
To ensure reliable storage of important camera footage, the recorder supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10. This allows storage to be tailored to the desired combination of speed, capacity, and data protection.
N+M hot spare is also supported. This allows a spare drive to be automatically deployed when an active hard drive fails, significantly reducing the risk of losing camera footage.
Efficient H.265+ Video Compression
The DS-96128NI-M16 supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+, and H.264. H.265+ can significantly reduce storage requirements compared to conventional video compression, without unnecessarily compromising image quality.
Support for smart cameras
The recorder supports various smart camera features and applications, including motion detection, line crossing, intrusion detection, ANPR license plate recognition, heat maps, and people counting. Compatible fisheye cameras and other specialized Hikvision cameras can also be connected.
Thanks to ONVIF support, the NVR is also compatible with compatible IP cameras from other manufacturers.
Professional Networking Capabilities
The recorder is equipped with two Gigabit network ports and supports Hik-Connect, HTTPS, ONVIF, and various professional network protocols, among others. The advanced streaming technology helps maintain a smooth live view even when the network connection is temporarily unstable.
The DS-96128NI-M16 does not have built-in PoE ports. The cameras must therefore be connected via separate PoE switches or an existing PoE network infrastructure.
