Hikvision DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/VPro – 8 channels – 32MP – 8 PoE – AI NVR – AcuSeek – AcuSearch – AcuSense

The Hikvision DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/VPro is a powerful 8-channel PoE network video recorder from the Hikvision I/VPro series. The recorder combines support for cameras up to 32 megapixels with eight built-in PoE ports and advanced features such as AcuSeek, AcuSearch, and AcuSense. This makes this model suitable for homes, stores, offices, restaurants, and commercial buildings.

Smart Search with AcuSeek

With Hikvision AcuSeek, you can search through recorded camera footage using a text description. For example, search for a person wearing certain clothing or a vehicle with specific characteristics. This allows you to find relevant events faster, without having to manually review long stretches of footage.

The recorder supports search queries in Dutch, English, German, and other languages. When used with compatible Hikvision AcuSense cameras and with AcuSearch enabled, this model supports AcuSeek on all eight channels, processing up to 300,000 targets per day. AcuSeek and AcuSearch support a maximum image resolution of 8 megapixels.

Locating People and Vehicles with AcuSearch

AcuSearch helps you locate people and vehicles based on a selected target in the camera footage. The recorder searches for matching results, making it easier for you to investigate incidents.

This is useful, for example, when you want to check where a person has been seen before or when a specific vehicle was present on your premises.

AcuSense Reduces False Alarms

With AcuSense, you can focus security on people and vehicles. This helps filter out less relevant movements more effectively, so you receive more targeted alerts.

The recorder supports Motion Detection 2.0, perimeter security, and facial recognition. The available features depend on the connected cameras, resolution, and settings. With compatible cameras, ANPR license plate recognition is also possible.

Eight built-in PoE ports

Thanks to eight built-in PoE ports, you can supply compatible IP cameras with both power and a data connection via a single network cable. This keeps the installation neat and reduces the number of power adapters needed.

The ports support IEEE 802.3af/at, with a combined PoE budget of up to 120 watts. When configuring your camera system, always check the total power consumption of the connected cameras.

Recording up to 32 megapixels and 4K playback

The DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/VPro supports recording resolutions up to 32 megapixels. For resolutions above 12 megapixels, a maximum of four camera inputs are supported; up to and including 12 megapixels, all eight are available.

The incoming bandwidth is 96 Mbps and the outgoing bandwidth is 256 Mbps. You can view images in 4K Ultra HD via HDMI. The HDMI and VGA outputs can be used independently.

Actual performance during simultaneous video playback depends on the resolution, frame rate, and enabled AI features.

Space for two hard drives

The recorder features two SATA ports, supporting up to 20 TB per hard drive. This brings the maximum internal storage capacity to 40 TB.

How long you can store footage depends on the number of cameras, the recording quality, and your settings. Motion-activated recording allows you to use the available storage more efficiently.

Efficient H.265+ Video Compression

Thanks to H.265+, camera footage is stored efficiently. This helps reduce storage consumption, especially in systems that record continuously. The recorder also supports H.265, H.264+, and H.264.

View Footage with Hik-Connect

With Hik-Connect, you can view live and recorded footage remotely via your smartphone or tablet. This allows you to keep an eye on your home or business even when you’re on the go. Depending on your settings, you can receive notifications for selected events.

The Hikvision DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/VPro is an excellent choice for security systems with up to eight IP cameras where image quality, storage, and targeted search capabilities are important. The combination of built-in PoE and smart search features makes daily use straightforward, both at home and in the workplace.
